The European Naginata Federation is responsible for the development and administration of modern naginata in Europe and Africa. As such it conducts seminars, runs tournaments, conducts ranking examinations, and generally fosters the development of naginata while maintaining the rigorous standards of the art.

The ENF has been created in 1991 thanks to the devotion of Mrs Simone Charton who introduced naginata in Europe and started a club in 1981 and the support of nations that followed her passion. We cannot forget the support of the International Naginata Federation, to which ENF is directly linked. A special mention has also to be made to Mr Tadahiko Kondo who gave very helpful support in the development of ENF.
